Martin Luther King Jr: A man of many words

Everyone could learn from a few of these quotes.

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day by celebrating his teachings

"It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important."

"Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal."

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."

"The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict."

"The Negro needs the white man to free him from his fears. The white man needs the Negro to free him from his guilt."

"The time is always right to do what is right."

"War is a poor chisel to carve out tomorrow."

"I want to be the white man's brother, not his brother-in-law."

"If a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live."

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend."

Janet here is the FEEDBACK you need!

And we love and forgive you, so lets start with, Janet you need to do a new video! After having the most widely downloaded song in history you would think that Ms. Jackson's camp would have would to have an equally impressive video, but no so much. Sadly, it looks like a Milky Way candy bar commercial, just terrible. Climbing on planets or moons in outer space and what the hell was she wearing? There are tones of examples of singers wearing "cat suits" correctly (Toni Braxton, Brit Spears) but obviously her stylist researched none of them. It just looked CHEAP, which is something Janet has never looked before. And what happened to the dancing? Janet's dancing and dancers are some of the best in the world, but we don't even get to really see her or them do their thing and this is a HUGE dance track.  This video could have really put this song on the map, "major", but instead we will dying to hear the song on the radio, but we will die if we watch it on TV.

Take a look, maybe you will see something we don't.

Happily Unhappy

If its true and we are all in charge of our own destiny, then we must all be in control of our own happiness too, right? Is there a happiness switch? Can we decide that we are tired of being unhappy and then start being happy? If so, then if we are unhappy its of our own doing and we are making the choice to be that way for as long as we want or until we decide we want to be happy again.

WHOA, need a minute to digest that? We spend so much of our lives searching to find happiness from material things, a loved one, a better job, family and the list goes on and on, but what if the first and last stop on our quest for happiness is self?  Surely there is a point where is goes from a choice to a series of bad choices leading to not knowing the difference and ending up borderline crazy, right Brit.

Just a thought...

Can't Be True! Can It?

As many times as we say it, we just can't believe it to be true. Tracey Edmonds has married Eddie Murphy. The pair exchanged vows Tuesday (New Years Day) on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of a small group of family and friends, according to their representatives.  Although both of them come from failed previous marriages, both involving children, it just FEELS like Tracey is so far out of Eddie's league. I t can't just be us feeling this way, but I guess they are happy. Good for them.

Word of advice to Tracey: Eddie has child support for 6 kids. This s not for 6 regular kids, this is 6 entertainment kids. Keep separate bank accounts!

Not another resolution...

Definition: New Year's Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day and remain until fulfilled.

Reality: Its always some BS we make up in a drunken stooper feeling bad about the mistakes we made the previous year and how its going to change, but guess what, we usually do the same shit over and over and over again. No change, just a new date for the same mistakes. So lets try something different this year. Lets make on resolution. 2008 is going to be a better year than 2007. That's it. No expectations to live up to, no "he has till June to ask me to marry him" or "I am going to pick up my kids every weekend" lets just say we will have a better year in some way shape or form. If that means you get engaged great, if you pick up your kids even better, but even if that means you called your mother once more than you did last year to say "I love you" then 2008 would be better than 2007.

Say say it, I am sure Brit Spears is saying it with us right now and possibly even Brandy especially since she is not being charged with anything-"I am going to MAKE 2008 better than 2007." Even if you had a great year in 2007, imagine how good 2008 could be if its better...

Happy New Year!
