Let's see we have the Hulk Hogan, Rev Run, Snoop Dog, Kim Kardashian, Ozzy Osbourne, Irv Gotti, Keyshia Cole, Victoria Gotti, Kimora Lee Simmons, and the list goes on and on of celebrities, purposefully or inadvertently exploiting their families to get ahead. Sure most say and have said, "I am just keeping it real and letting you into my life", however is it really true? Is there anything real in reality TV at all? Nothing is live, its taped, re-tapped, edited, etc. and now it seems like the norm to drag your entire family into the process. Does the entire world really need to know what kind of clothes/games your children like or their favorite food? How about that your mother has spent most of her life on drugs has multiple children, some of which she has no clue how to find and is a functioning alcoholic? Yes we know that there are other people who go through this every day and could learn from this or relate, but wouldn't we have to be showing them the truth for them to see how it really gets fixed. Sounds like "cha-ching" and nothing else. There was a time when we would shield our children from the media and being exploited or even mentioned, now its the parents selling them to the highest bidder. Guess everyone deserves their 15 minutes of fame or longer, but maybe they should be old enough to decide if the really want it and how its going to shape the rest of their lives. They could be pregnant a 16 and instead of working it out at home with the family, their thought is how much money they can make off the sell of the story, but that's just a hypothetical situation.
